Hi folks,
For those of you who use authorize.net: they are experiencing issues with their API right now. This may prevent customers from signing up since the process is reliant on the payment gateway working. If you have any billing to do, we recommend holding off until they have the issues sorted out.
There's not much we can do to help, but we'll keep an eye on things, and if you want to stay up to date you can visit their status page at this link: https://status.authorize.net/

Hi folks,
As some of you already know, an issue popped up last weekend where some iOS users were having issues accessing the site and seeing the message 'too many redirects'. The users impacted were generally using older iOS devices. It has been problematic to solve because we have been unable to recreate the issue ourselves, nor have we been able to see any useful logging information either in the dbs or servers.
We do have a theory about the issue: recent changes Apple made to iOS resulted in cookie and session issues for customers that used their mobile device with 'remember me' checked. We have deployed an update to address our theory, but the problem remains that we still can not recreate the issue, so we can't test it!
What we're asking you is to please continue to report any instances of customers reporting 'too many redirects'. If possible, we'd love to hear any additional information you can provide such as: device, device version, browser, existing customer or new.

Just a quick status update for you- A rather large system architecture project has run a bit longer than previously planned. we still have our deployments on hold so anything that was scheduled to be released this week has been postponed until Tuesday, September 6. Hi folks, authorize.net just reported that they are having some transaction issues. If you are using authorize.net, it's recommended to not run billing at this moment.
from Authorize.net: "We are currently experiencing a partial outage that is affecting transaction processing. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and apologize for any disruption."

Commencing at approximately 15:45 eastern we started seeing intermittent network degradations at our data centre.
Non-essential processes have been stopped and we will slowly be bringing the robots back online (email sending is currently paused). We will follow up shortly with more details.

Hi folks,
At approximately 7:05am this morning we began receiving reports of network outages. It appears that Peer1, a major upstream network provider had a nation wide outage that affected their networks across Canada and the US. We are still investigating the matter and will update you as more information becomes available.
All services are back online as they restore their networks.

Authorize.net users- we are aware of an issue over the weekend where payment profile ids were not saved to customer accounts correctly. The issue has been fixed, and if you have any customer accounts that were affected we are in the progress of fixing them.

Greetings! A few updates for you from Kiva Logic:
To prevent customers from cancelling and then reactivating and using multiple discount codes, you can now set how often customers can use discount codes. Go to the Discount Codes page and click the new button 'Set How Often Cust Can use Codes'. More info available there.
For smartphones, the admin side has a customer search bar on the dashboard now, and the menu has been moved to the top right of the screen.
The driver sheet will now print private, public, and coop instructions for each customer. Before it would just print private and coop if the customer was in a coop.
Last thing- when customers sign up the software will check to see if any other customer has a similar street address. An alert on the Dashboard will be created and this could be a sign of a confused customer, or someone trying to create multiple accounts to take advantage of promotions. If this has too many false positives, email us [email protected] and we can adjust the sensors.

NEW: If updating a customer email address on their account (admin side of the software) and the email is already being used, an appropriate error message is now returned with a link to the other customer account.
NEW: On Settings->System Settings->Routes, you can now bulk move the cutoff time for routes forward and backward by 24 hours, 1 hour, or a custom hour input. The buttons are all the way at the bottom of the page.
NEW: On the admin side, when updating customer referrals the software will now automatically look for potential matches in the customer list for you, should help save a bit of time!

Happy Friday! A few quick little updates for you-
Reports->Order Count by Time: see how many orders each customer received during a timespan and you can also credit/email them. Check out the page for more info.
Menu Planner - you can now click on the name of a box and see all the orders for it. There is also a new bulk action tool on the cust orders page that will allow you to regenerate the orders filtered, use with caution and if in doubt email us first!
When viewing previous menus on the menu planner page, there is a new button next to each item that will copy that item to the current menu.
Pack order page- new button to download a PDF of the pack order.

A fairly large changelog update for you today. Nothing earth-shaking, so read at your leisure. Let's dive in...
Admin Responsive Updates
Some improvements on the admin side for the mobile experience have been made. The sidebar on the dashboard will appear first, and the menu will become a responsive menu for easier navigation.
Replace Items or Change Counts
On the Inventory page, there is a new button that allows you to replace an item with another item. This is useful for after the weekly cycle has been completed and you would like to make an update. If in doubt, we'll help out the first time you use it (or second, or third). Use cases:
1. You are getting half the amount of apples and want to change 2 apples to 1 apple in each order.
2. You are not getting oranges, so you want to replace 1 orange with 1 tangerines.
CloudFlare Utilities
From the dashboard, there is a new button that says "CloudFlare Settings". On this page, you can whitelist your IP address to bypass any security challenges that CloudFlare may show. Please only use this when you are in a safe, private location like your home or office- we don't want to be whitelisting IP address' at coffee shops or other public locals.
If your website is on your main domain and you are using the Kiva Logic software on a subdomain, there is another button that you can click that will clear the cloudflare cache. This is useful for when you are making design updates on your website.
Warehouse App
Units & counts added to the pack order section, names have been standardized, and you can now filter to show only the items that have more than 0 as their demand.
Tell a Friend
Custom referrals links will now use this format: www.yourcompany.com/share/f385f, with f385f being the unique code that each customer is assigned. Social sharing buttons have been updated on the tell a friend page as well as the sidebar where enabled, and if customer is logged in will include their referral link.
Generate Test Email + Password Email
When viewing a customer account, you can click on the 'generate emails' button and there are two new options.
1) Send Test Email - this sends a simple email to the customer that says "Did you receive this?"
2) Send Reset Password Email - this will send the customer an email with a link for them to reset their password.
Print Labels from the Cust Order Page
On the cust order page, you can filter for any variables you'd like, then use the 'bulk action' tool at the bottom of the page to print labels for all the orders filtered. Useful for scenarios where you have to make changes to some orders but don't want to print out the entire PDF of labels again.
Admin Login Redirect!
Scenario: You get an admin notification in your inbox and click on the link to the admin side. You're not logged in, so of course you have to log in. What happens? You're on the dashboard, not the link that you clicked on from the notification email.
Now you will be redirected accordingly after logging in to the admin side. Should save a few clicks here and there.
New Admin User Type
"Cust Service" is a new admin user type that will only have access to the customer list and the customer info pages on the admin side. All other pages are hidden & blocked. These admin users also can not set their admin email notification preferences.
Misc Fixes/Changes
-new area on dashboard that will show the most recent customers who have updated their payment information.
-new admin notification: You can get an email when a customer updates their billing information.
-customer route not assigned alert was repeating itself
-on view customer transactions, now any transaction record can be deleted
-bug on "Love/Hate" report was not showing data correctly
-from the love/hate report, you can view all customers with a particular item on their no list
-billing page: filter is saved when editing transactions or marking transactions as paid.
-weekly reports now shows add-on totals (also aligned number to right for easier viewing)
-new schedule option: every 3 weeks (can only be used on admin side)
-pack order: new filter for active product list to show only items that are in orders for the current week
-manual routing: button to run geo-coding of orders and subscriptions (this function runs automatically in the background, but now you have the option to run it manually)
-for companies with multiple locations, system can now route customer logins to the correct location (customers can log in on any location site).
-for companies with multiple locations, system can now route customer signups to the correct location based on zip code
-better detection of bots for the guest counter and system logging purposes
-CSA's using 'Seasons' feature: you can now set whether a season is available for signups or not.
-misc shop responsive design updates
-box icon shows up on driver sheet now if 'cardboard only' is set on a customer account.
-customer info page now includes archived orders when showing total amount spent.
-revenue per customer report now includes archived orders
-better logging for when customers update their account information
-fixed issue loading archived system log entries for specific customer
-newline characters stripped when saving shipping & private delivery instructions on admin
-settings->sytem settings->admin users: spruced up a bit, now you can change username or access level for users.

Just a few changelog updates for you here:
Maps & Directions
On the Labels and Routing page, there is a new section called Maps & Directions. There is a detailed write-up below that section for you to learn more. This is a very experimental feature!
Guest ID's in the Log
Guests browsing now get assigned an id # to better track their movement on the site via the log. When a Guest converts to a customer, any entries in the log will be updated with their customer ID, so you can see the history of the customer BEFORE they became a customer. This is cool because you can also see how many different people are browsing, not just what they're browsing.
Tell a Friend
When a new customer signs up from a referral link, an alert will be placed on the dashboard. Under 'latest signups' on the Dashboard, if the customer signed up from a referral link, under 'how did you hear?' it will say 'tell a friend referral'. This will also happen if you click the link 'view all' to see all the latest signups.
Manual Routing
A map has been added with the stop numbers of the deliveries for easier manual routing. There is also a link to enter a 'Print Mode' if you want to print the map out.
Stripe Signups
Easier month/date inputs for Stripe customer on the sign up process and update billing page.
System Logging
Continual work being done on the system log and the messages in it to make it easier to use and read. Added a turbo mode to have the What's New section on the dashboard update every 2 seconds. Also set a timeout so the What's New section will stop refreshing after 20 minutes of idle time.

The forum is back up and working again! We're still considering this an 'alpha' project still in testing and there have been limited invites sent out.
We'll start posting things occasionally there, and of course there has been no activity for the last couple of months, but we're going to try to get it moving again.
The forum software seems to be more stable now, so hopefully we won't have any more issues with it.

Now you can read it in your inbox whenever you have the time. The important thing here is make sure you have an email address on your admin user account!

1) if a referral link is clicked, the area to enter in a discount/promo code will not show up. That way they only get the referral bonus amount and can't double up with a discount code
2) the referral amount is now the amount that is set in the system.. the tell a friend page was not using that, neither was the sign up page. Fixed/updated now. The referral amount is something that is hard-coded so if you ever want to change it just send in a ticket to [email protected].
3) when a customer signs up with the referral link, their account will automatically be linked to the referring customers account and they will show up under the 'pending' link on the admin side referral page. This is all automatic now so you don't even have to worry about it, all you have to do is click the 'credit' button when it's time to give the referring customer their credit.

Optional new feature:

EasyPost updates:

Howdy folks,
You can now view detailed stats about emails sent to individual customers. Just go to their account and click on the link 'view email log'.
This page will show you stats on the previous 90 days, and will also allow you to see if a customer has opened or clicked a certain email, or if there was a problem delivering that email. When your customer service receives a complaint that a customer did not get an email, check their email log to see if the email was delivered successfully, or if they opened or clicked on the email.
We also added a few stats on the page 'Reports->Email Stats' to show your average open percentage, average click rate, and deliverability based on the activity over the last 30 days.

Howdy folks,
New feature- tell the system how many physical boxes in a box size. Settings->System Settings, then click Box Settings to edit this. By default it's set to 1. If it is more than 1 then multiple labels will be printed and the driver sheet will note how many boxes are part of the order.
The Labels & Routing page has been cleaned up a bit, along with a few minor design changes on the labels and driver sheet, nothing big.
You can now also NOT show any personal information on the labels if you wish, this setting can be found on the features page. If enabled, the last name, address, phone number, and special instructions will not be printed on the labels.
A couple small things:
-archived orders are not displayed by default on the customer info page for admins (speeds the page up a bit)
-fixed a bug when editing emails and adding a link

Hi folks, we are adding some graphs here and there. You can see some on the Reports->subscriptions page and on the brand new Reports->email stats page.
The email stats page will show you real-time data from Mandrill, our email transport service.
These graphs and others are still experimental, so just let us know if you see any problems. Please note the data on the graphs is not historical and will only show from the present on, so they will look pretty blank right now.

ATTENTION AUTHORIZE.NET USERS! Authorize.net is currently down. We don't know how long the outage will last. Here's what you can do though: go sign up for stripe.com and send us your API keys. We are making some emergency modifications to the billing process to allow payments to flow through both gateways simultaneously (instead of having to choose one or the other).
If you go this route- here is how to get the API keys we need: http://kivalogic.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/288536-how-to-find-your-api-keys-on-stripe-com
We'll get a more detailed post up on the blog how the dual-gateways will work side by side, but for now this is just an option so that you can keep the sign-up process working while authorize.net is down. If you elect to do this, send your API keys to [email protected]. When authorize.net comes back online, we'll switch your default gateway back to authorize.net and keep stripe.com as a backup.

Hi Folks, Just a few quick updates for you here:
New Admin User TypeRecipes, this user can only view the Recipe and Recipe Category pages.
New Private Delivery Instructions Not seen by the customer and only printed on the Driver Sheet, edit this on the customer account. When done editing, it is saved automatically when you click away from it.
Fruit, Veg, Other Tags on Build Menu just to see what things are quickly categorized as.
New Label Icon: Box For bin companies, if you have a user you use cardboard for, check the 'cardboard box only' option on their account and a box icon will be printed on their label.
Search Transaction Notes On the billing page, and you can also filter by route. The transactions found will now be displayed by route and stop number as well.
Active Product List Fixed an issue on the status (green, red) for a product and made the response message bigger and static.
Always show a menu On the front for potential customers, even if you are doing the weekly cycle. It will pull from a previous week just so there is something for a potential customer to check out.
We will be closed on Jan 1 and Jan 2 to observe the holiday but as always will keep an eye on tickets for time-sensitive matters.

NEW: email your missed zip code potential customers from Reports->Missed Zip Codes. Filter by zip(s) and/or date range. Read more here
FIX: links can now be shown in the shop in a product description.
NEW: for admins when logged in as a customer, additional links and a search input added to the bar that spans the top of the screen.
NEW: delete gift certificate will delete the gift cert info and the discount code linked to it. Please note- this does not refund the purchase, you must do that manually.

Hello! We are testing out a new help desk solution: ZenDesk, so in the bottom right of the admin screen you will see a new button there that says "help". You can have that contact form pre-populated by making sure your email and name are filled out in your admin profile (click on "edit profile" at the top right of the admin screen). You can still also use [email protected] to send an email. Let us know what you think!
We will be closed from December 23rd to December 26, and also on January 1st, so if you have any special holiday week actions please let us know ahead of time.

NEW: filter by multiple days and routes on the Print All Inventory Demand page
NEW: search discount codes by the name of the CODE or by the notes attached, this used to be in one field but now it is seperated into two search input fields.
FIX: When a customer is shopping, if the product they go to add to their order becomes sold out in the background, the system will no longer give it to them. If less than the quantity that they want remains available, they will get that quantity instead. This fixes a scenario where the inventory could be oversold.

A few small updates today- added a week selector on the Weekly Reports page that will by default show the last 12 weeks, this helps with page load time and adds extra flexibility in drilling down on data.
Some UI updates on the Dashboard to give some cleaner lines and improved the speed at which the What's Happening area first loads.
For intercom.io users, fixed a bug that would not show the Facebook avatar on the customer account. That's all for now, have a great day!

Greetings! The Kiva Logic headquarters will be closed on Thursday and Friday in observance and celebration of the USA holiday Thanksgiving. Normal office hours will resume on Monday, November 26.
Emails and support tickets will still be monitored for emergencies and time-sensitive issues.

Perfect for those early mornings where you can't remember if Fuji Apples go before or after Bananas! Let us know if there's something else you'd like there for quick-warehouse-reference.

Happy Thursday!
We've added a powerful feature on the Weekly Routine page that will allow you to go backwards in the routine if you forget something or accidentally hit done on the last step. The software will also place a notification on the Dashboard if the weekly routine is not complete, so if you take awhile to perform the routine that's meant as just a friendly reminder that it is open.
More changelog updates coming down the pipeline (you may have seen little changes here and there...), but we just wanted to give you a heads up on the Weekly Cycle updates since it is now live.

fixed/updated: on order history page, if a transaction has been created for an order but it has not been processed yet, the page will now display "Pending Payment (no action required)".
fixed: admin side, bi-weekly customers. When updating delivery information, the reference schedule date was being override by the start date, cause a shift in the schedule to occur.
added: new dashboard button when coops are enabled, will show the number of pending private coop requests (if any)
added: new dashboard button to show the number of pending referral credits in the system. This is automatically updated every 30 minutes.
